Woman On Target Program May 2, 10 am to 3pm Wildlife Action Pee Dee Chapter will be conducting a Women On Target Program. Learn to shoot Rifles, Pistols and shotguns. A $10 fee will be charged to cover the cost of ammo and lunch, we will provide the guns and the instruction for the women. Only women will be shooting. We also need a bunch of people to help with instruction, parking, cooking lunch, taking pictures and other jobs. Call Dennis if you want to volunteer. Come on out at 10 am on April 18 we will be running a practice event to work out the bugs so May 2 will be a great Woman on Target event. We need more RSO’s to Work weekends, contact Dale Carrier Sr. if you can help. Thanks to Dale and Frank Linder they trained 8 new RSO’s on April 4th.

Wish List Projects: We are looking for a few good members that want to help out and take on a project to help the chapter. Here is a list of projects we would like to be completed. Contact Dennis if you want to help. 1. Keep the grass mowed around the pond and cut back the brush on the backs. 2. Install a fish feeder on the pond. 3. Stock the pond. 4. Cut the roads and nature trails. 5. Mark tree and shrub species along the nature trails. 6. Complete archery course. 7. Install throwers on 5 stand shotgun range. 8. Shirt the Resource Education center. 9. Paint or stain the out buildings. 10. Plan a shooting event or competition. 11. Plan a canoe trip. 12. Plan a family day. 13. Connect power to the picnic shelter. 14. Complete road to the river. 15. Build wildlife observation blinds. 16. Plant wildlife feed plots. 17. Help mowing and maintenance. 18. Repair fire pits. 19. Plan a youth campout at the park. 20. Write the newsletter. 21. Repair steel targets. 22. Build mobile shooting benches for training range. 23. Clean up the sides of the road to the range. 24. Make and install new signs to the park 25. Install new signs at the park. 26. Come up with your own project you want to do.

April Chapter meeting was held on April 5 at 2:30 Tony called the meeting to order we discussed the upcoming Woman on Target program. Leigh brought a trencher and we ran power to the range and picnic shelter. Thanks for all the members that pitched in and helped. We also completed the doors on the sigh-in building. Richard Wright is going to teach a CWP class for WLA on April 25.
April 18, 10 am we will have a run through for the upcoming Woman on Target Program. Come on out and volunteer to help. We will be shooting 22 rifle, 22 pistol, shotgun and archery.
April 25, 9-6 Conceal Weapons Permit Class The cost will be $75 per student. Richard Wright will be teaching the class for WLA PEE DEE CHAPTER. Make your checks payable to Wildlife Action for the class. The class is at least 8 hours long and will include both classroom and range time. Bring the gun you intend to carry and at least 100 rounds of ammo. Contact Richard at 843-229-2629
